KEEP LOOKING... hahaha

Last time, I used to think that I had to find a 'father' for my children, so that I can give them a great life. Whenever I try to screen through guys who are after me, I always think, "Will he treat my boys good?"But one of my colleagues, she reminded me of something. Candy, have you ever thought of your own happiness? If you are happy, you will make sure that your children are happy. That does not mean finding a father for them will make you happy, right? She was absolutely right.

I believe, if the guy loves me, he will also take his time to get to know my family and eventually accept my children. Now, I no longer hope for a man, who can accept my children, at the very beginning stage. All I want to do is, I will make sure my kids are well taken care of, and lead a happy childhood with the great help from my mom.

I had a great childhood despite the limited time spent with my own father. He is a great person, but when my parent's marriage failed, I was being brought up happily and I enjoyed my childhood to the fullest.

Here comes a quick check-list that I have in mind (sounds a little selfish, but this is a blog ma, I can say whatever I wanted to say) wow, hahaha!

Keep on looking - - -

- non-smoker if possible, I don't feel like kissing a smoker (kau-meang-ar)
- I hope that he likes to exercise, not necessary to be a gym member or what, but at least, when I want to go for morning walk, he is into it!
- Someone who always mention about his family is wonderful, at least, I know his heart is not just himself, he thinks about others, but not all the time talk about his family, at least, he knows, he has a family who has been supportive, that's lovely

- brings me out to meet his family & friends, and don't feel 'shy' of my background (yes, I am divorced with 2 kids, does it mean that I am not a human? I don't choose to live a terrible marriage, but I have to admit that I make a decision which benefits my children and myself too)

- I will also bring him along to meet my friends, just be there, I am selective of making friends, and I know he will be happy that I am surrounded with good people too
- no one wants to be with a flirt, in real or online flirt. Just think, what if I also flirt all the time, would that be a great partner? Respect is the word :)

- be transparent, we both treat each other as 'feelings station' whereby we can share ups and downs without being shy
- talk to me like friends, no lies and no limitation to topics

- he cannot stop me from doing charity

- Romantic, not necessary with gifts, but at least during special occasions, we both know that we should be together. If there is any other invitation, just try to go together lo

- Weekly movie, can?
- Eat at least 3 breakfasts & 3 dinner together in a week (if it happens that he is not in KL, pls at least call once in every 2 days, to check if he's still alive) hahaha
- cook some meals, and eat together
- write small notes to say "I love you" - not everyday, just sometimes hahaha
- give surprises on birthdays, anniversaries, valentines, christmas, or any other special dates...

- say "I Love You" when we see each other, or when we want to hang up on the phone (if there is a chance to)
- Hold my hands whenever possible (I always see old couple, holding hands, they are so lovely)
- be daring to kiss me in public, if he is shy, on the cheeks at least! hahaha
- snap lots of pictures together ...

- Put a picture of me in his wallet, preferably 'our picture' and don't be shy to put our pictures in facebook, msn, skype, etc

- Plan for short holidays whenever possible, even a 2D 1N outstation trip is good enough (if he can afford, we can go for yearly travel)
- A small gift a month, as a remembrance. I don't mind if it's a RM 10 earrings
- And please, allow me to go dancing in clubs once in a while, I am not drinking, I just want to dance a little before I get older ...

Not sure if the above are too much to remember, I'll play my part to ensure that the relationship works too! CHEERS!

3-WORD WE SPEAK

We always say 3-word but just maybe we don't realise... I have nothing better to do, in 5mins I am able to come out with some 3-word words... hahaha...

Before I sleep, or whenever I can, I will say I LOVE YOU to my boys, and forced them to say the same to me... (terrible mom)

When I pick my boy from babysitter, I'll ask him, "Got miss mommy?" He'll reply, "I MISS YOU" and it sounds so so sweet!

When I look at myself in the mirror and discover a huge pimple, sorry, I gotta be rude and say, "I HATE YOU!" hahaha (pimples pun kena marah, kesiannya...)

We normally say, "THANKS A LOT" when someone helped us. But I just love to say in cantonese, "NG-KOI-SAI" which sounds 'cute'... just pro-long the last word = NG-KOI-SAAAAIII....

This is what I say to my colleagues, general statement, "SEE YOU TOMORROW" and sometimes will follow with "I LOVE YOU" to those whom I care and really want to see her tomorrow hahaha

Do you sometimes just has no topic to talk to someone whom you know, and you meet on the street, example, colleagues whom you seldom talk to, or an pasar-aunty that you wish you don't see her? Normally, we'll smile a little and if really pass by side-by-side, what do we say? hahaha, just say, "HOW ARE YOU?" so fake, hehehe... or they sometimes ask me, "WHERE YOU GOING?" aiyo, where else, early in the morning 8am, I go see movies meh? amboi! Sometimes, out of nothing to ask them, I also ask the same question, better than got nothing to say.. life is sometimes quite terrifying hoh...

But it's different if you are bumping into someone that you always have topic with, I normally say, "JOM, yam cha!" hahaha, just love to gossip!

When someone is waiting for us, we feels kan-chiong a bit, sometimes, rush until lipstick pun lupa pakai, even forget to comb our hair... but when it's turn for us to wait for people, we'll say, "Fai-tit-la" hahaha... but I really hate those are not punctual, no respect to other people's time.. apa la!

When I can't say "NO" sometimes, to people silly requests, I'll jokingly say, "Chi Sin ar" hehehe, auto-NO. You can try "Sot-jor-ah" - it gives an impression of saying NO NO NO too!

I still remember when I was in college, I speak too much of foul languages. Until today, I still say a few words, but not all the time. I can't say to my kids, I can't say to my mom, I can't say to my boss... I just try to say to my close-colleagues and some bad-mouth friends... my favourite is "T-Nia-Sing" hahaha... really bad-mouth, also I like to say, "Soh-hai" how yucky I am... at least I am honest, I do know a few to release stress! hehehe!

I find it weird when people ask, "Are You OK?" - what answer to reply. If I reply, I am Ok, means he/she thinks too much. Maybe we should try, "Oh, I think I am not really ok..." to make him/her feels bad because can't help hahahaha... how great to tease people this way!

My youngest boy, there was one time. He screamed, "kau-meang-ar", and my mom was in the living room. She didn't hear, and he screamed again and again in the bedroom. His cute little leg was trapped under the bed with his small pillow hahaha, how cute! I love to use "kau-meang-ar" when I am lost, when people do 'stupid things' and yet they think they are right... KAU-MEANG-AR...

In the corporate world, people tend to shoe polish, tend to fake, tend to pretend. I really NO EYE SEE!

CHEERS, now it's your turn to list out your own 3-word words and have fun out of them!

NINE WORDS WOMEN USE

(1) Fine:This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.

(2) Five Minutes:If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.

(3) Nothing:This is the calm before the storm. This means something and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.

(4) Go Ahead:This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It!

(7) Thanks:A woman is thanking you, do not question, or faint. Just say you're welcome. (I want to add in a clause here - This is true, unless she says 'Thanks a lot' - that is PURE sarcasm and she is not thanking you at all. DO NOT say 'you're welcome'; that will bring on a 'whatever').

(8) Whatever:Is a woman's way of saying sc*ewYOU!

(9) Don't worry about it, I got it:Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking 'What's wrong?' For the woman's response refer to # 3.

AS AN EMPLOYEE...

Being an employee is fun! Other than $$$, being happy at work is important.

Cool to see this article... read it!

* the biggest motivation is salary (no one says their salary is high hahaha)

* the unluckiest thing is promotion without salary adjustment (that's consolation when Company cannot pay, and they want to make you feel good)

* the most "shiok" thing is you don't work anyhow also get pay increment (hehehe, I wished!)

* the greatest talent is "carry big stuff" (means you've to buy shoe polish, then you've to 'satay' your bosses lo - example, even he has a bad haircut, also must pretend say,"Wah boss you so leangjai jor geh.. wow")

* the greatest mistake is to argue with your boss (depends on how to argue, when you argue, they thought you are teaching them how to work - bad one, all bosses think that their ideas are the best!)

* the most demoralising thing is to receive salary late (hmm... no comment, *touch wood* never happened)

* the most pitiful thing is you did not get your salary and your boss ran away (hahaha, that's why choose a good reputable company to work with)

* the happiest thing is you become your boss' boss .. wahahahaha!!! - can't believe it!

* the cleverest thing is you are late but boss doesn't know (Yes, I somehow agree)

* the stupidest thing is you publicly say that you are lazy - hahaha... I normally say, "Wow, today seems cozy" never say lazy la aiyo!

* the most common thing is - the boss says something but means another (that's usual, when they say "GOOD JOB, BUT..." - why the hell got "BUT"?)

* the proudest thing is you sack your boss

* the most "rugi" thing is you work hard but your colleague takes the credit (hahaha, what to do... fated sometimes)

* the most dangerous thing is to become a "two-headed" snake (Can I learn?)

* the biggest satisfaction - sending e-mail like this during office hours!! heheheheheheheh.... what a wonderful world!

LOVE OUR OLD FOLKS

I used to admire those old folks who always hold hands when they cross the road. The feeling is like they still treasure each other and take care of each other.

I saw an old couple sharing a bowl of claypot rice. So sweet, they started to feed each other and smile. Not much of a conversation, they just need a companion, and they have each other.

Most of the young people now are busy taking care of their own-selves. It could be money that attracts their needs, but same time, to earn more money, it takes up more of your time. People used to say, "NO MONEY, NO TALK". Therefore, most of us choose money, instead of time for our old folks at home.

We also think that once week once is enough for them. Life has become demanding, and we tend to forget some values.

Is eating dinner with our old folks a few times a week, consider as time consuming?

Is calling them everyday consider as a waste of money?

Believe it or not, if you spend only 10mins with your parents or grandparents, they will remember for at least a week. Most of the time we are not in the house, but if we can hold their hands, talking to them, for just 10mins a week (I hope it's a day), they will remember us, and they will be happy and think of us.

It's never difficult to make old people happy. Some old people nags, therefore, no one wants to talk to them and don't even want to stay with them. At times, we will say, "She deserves it! No one stays with her, she nags non-stop". But think twice. Why is she nagging? Normally it's for our own good. But I somehow agree, some nags more than normal hahaha!

Let's be patient, and appreciate that they are still around with us.

My grandpa is almost 90 years old, and grandma is 78. I am glad that they are around. It completes the family as a whole. They had been through thick and thin and now leading to another level of life, which is living in misery, worrying about their own health. I can totally understand how they feel. Lonely, and insecure at times. Everyone gets old, just the matter of time. But as we grow older, we think more although we are wiser. We think about our children, our family members, and what to do to pass the days.

Imagine what a 78 & 90 year old can do ? Wake up, shower, breakfast, read newspapers, watch television, lunch, afternoon nap, watch tv again, dinner and time to sleep. In between, can we just play a small part of calling them?
Most people think that old people having good lives as they don't have to work.

Yes, somehow I agree they should enjoy life, but... if you can think again, this is totally boring! They can't afford to see their friends like us, how many friends they will have ? If they are healthier and joining those association or clubs, maybe they do have some friends.

Old people can't do much of sports, simple hand claps and swinging their hands and legs are their exercise. Some gardens have tai-chi or qi-gong, but not all are fit to join these activities.

Maybe you think of mahjung or karaoke... I like both hahaha! Let's play a small part of making old people around us happy, start with our own grandparents and parents. CHEERS!

CANDY IS A LEO...

CANDY IS A LEO....

One of the kindest people there are. Very generous. Very confident but tends to easily become jealous. Finds relationships (any type) to sometimes be difficult. Outgoing around the right people. When they say something they stick to it. Very fun to be around. Isn't exactly blessed with common sense. Easily persuaded. Hardly ever selfish although can be a bitch at times, without realizing. Loves to be centre of attention. Loves singing and/or dancing.

Loves to look good and loves to have a good time. Has a loud, encouraging laugh. People sometimes take advantage of this person or judges them wrong. Dreams for a long term relationship but usually has a short term one. Crazy.

ARE YOU COMPATIBLE TO LEO?

23 July-23 August

LEO - ARIES : This is a good match, because both are much concerned about sex. Both are eccentric and passionate. But Aries is willing to dominate while Leo, in his turn, desires to rule over the relationship. This is how a sharp conflict arises. However, their physical compatibility is able to overcome these problems. A joyful union and a splendid marriage.

LEO - TAURUS : A romantic beginning may turn into a war. Both are extremely obstinate and a competition will appear to be explosive. A quite good sexual relationship is possible. But exalted Leo will irritate a calm even-tempered Taurus. Extravagant Leo will disapprove of avarice of Taurus. Compatibility horoscope Leo concedes the possibility of romance, but states that long lasting relations are not quite probable.

LEO - GEMINI : Gemini will be clever enough to appear charming to Leo all the time. Leo won’t stand adultery, as it blows up his king reputation. But amiable Gemini will settle down the problem. Leo will be infatuated with Gemini and will play a dominant role in this union, as he is stronger. Compatibility horoscope Leo promises a lovely relationship and a good marriage.

LEO - CANCER : Leo is in a mood for accidental romance, while Cancer prefers serious relationship. Cancer is willing something more than simply sexual relationship; he wants to have a stable union and to be taken care of by his affectionate partner. Leo is ready to that if he gets a love of Cancer in return, and also some admiration from his side. If it doesn’t happen, they are not likely to understand each other and to make a good couple.

LEO - LEO : In bed, as everywhere, Leo thinks only of himself. The question is the following: will the two “I” succeed in becoming the one “we”? Well, kings and queens call themselves “we”, so why not? Both are extremely romantic and sexually compatible. But they should let each other “show off” a little and admire his partner. Naturally, it is not always possible, but when it works – Viva the king! Viva the queen!

LEO - VIRGO : Leo possesses higher sexuality than Virgo, and that may cause problems in the bedroom. King extravagance of Leo irritates conservative Virgo. Virgo doesn’t like when she is being manipulated, but this is what Leo wants! When Virgo criticizes her partner, Leo “snarls”. The relationship is likely to be very short. A marriage? You must be joking!

LEO - LIBRA : Leo’s sex approach is more physical and spontaneous by character than that of Libra. However, they can a have good time together, as Libra can also be passionate. Libra, who takes life simple, mustn’t forget that Leo needs to be admired and highly praised, especially in bed. Don’t be too frank and sincere. A little flattery won’t do any harm. As for Leo, he should take control of his spirits and behavior. In this case compatibility horoscope Leo predicts a healthy long-lasting relationship.

LEO - SCORPIO : Candles, luxury, sparkling wine in the bedroom. This may smooth over the existing problems. Jealousy of Scorpio offends Leo. Scorpio however lacks admiration and respect towards Leo, which is disastrous for this king sign. Scorpio wants to play the main role in relationship, while Leo also wishes to dominate. A lovely romance is possible, but compatibility horoscope Leo won’t recommend to get married.

LEO – SAGITTARIUS : Both like adventures and consider love as one of them. They are extraverts, passionate, and follow their sexual preferences without their partner being hurt. They make love often. Sagittarius stimulates Leo and is also devoted to him. Sagittarius has the greatest affection he is capable of towards Leo. The relationship is wonderful and compatibility horoscope Leo guaranties a happy marriage.

LEO - CAPRICORN : Practical Capricorn will hold in check expansive and optimistic nature of Leo. They are too different. Leo may loose his brightness in this relationship. Capricorn is not so romantic and full of love as Leo, but may turn out to be too exigent. Extravagancy of Leo irritates Capricorn. The liaison is possible, but marriage is not probable to be a lucky one.

LEO - AQUARIUS : Aquarius brings more color to sexual individuality of Leo and making love becomes more exiting. Leo is irritated that Aquarius is inclined to analyze everything. This influences self-esteem of Leo, who starts loosing his usual self-assurance about his great power of sovereign. Besides, unfaithfulness of Aquarius in bed gets on Leo’s nerves. A short romance is possible, but marriage is unreal, says compatibility horoscope Leo.

LEO - PISCES : Active expansive Leo won’t get along with timid introvert Pisces. Leo is not trying to understand the behavior of Pisces in bed. Both are more inclined to get than to give. A magnetic infatuation in the beginning will finally lead to a break off. Pisces is a weaker sign and their lack of ambition worries Leo. When Pisces are in low spirits, pride of Leo prevents him from being sympathetic. The relationship is complicated and, according to compatibility horoscope Leo, marriage is most likely to be an unhappy one.

GRANDPA...

I seldom visit my grandpa, I always say that I don't have a car. In fact, I really don't have a car, and work til late. Weekends will be busy babysitting, how terrible. To me, grandpa is a healthy and calm person. He was an assistant headmaster when he was young.

Believe it or not, he has 11 children and you can imagine how many grandchildren he has. I'm the eldest 'girl' grandchild. I have lots of cousins, now we are keeping in touch via Facebook, how wonderful.
My grandpa collects a lot of photos.

Memories come by, now and then. I always try to sneak at his photo albums. They are old and quite dusty. I think he has more than 50 albums of photos, from his younger days, until today. From black and white pictures, small print-outs and to colourful 8R photos he has in his collection.

I saw a lot of my childhood pictures and some I don't even have them in my own collection. I have to admit that I snapped a lot of pictures since small. I was a cute little girl, with poney tail, big smile and lovely clothes.

Saw the pictures of my uncles, aunties when they were younger. Wow, their 'fashion' was extremely 60's ahahhahaa, so conservative ler... no eye see. Imagine those boxed-pattern shirts and baggy pants ... and funny hi-heels and boots... wahahahahha!

In their younger days, they really don't know how to pose, all sit or stand, no 'design' at all. hahaha! so bored! Family pix will be old folks sitting in the middle, small children standing in front and couples stood behind in a row... HOW BORED! But it's really nice to see old pictures.

It shows that we've improved. From Black & White, to full colour pictures now. From old fashioned clothes, to trendy styles now. From funny hairstyle to nice haircut now... From big round glasses, to branded frames now... cool!

Most things were just so simple and everyone was just living a normal life. The smile in the pix were naturally warm, easy, people looked younger, faces were smoother, we see family pictures, birthday pictures... but those were much more earlier... 25 - 30 years back...

Time flies, everyone's getting older and smarter. Children become grown-ups. Competitive world, highly educated people found in my own family (but not me pai-seh pai-seh) Grandpa is always proud of his children and his grand-children. Most of my cousins earns 5x my salary. Big salary, nice houses. Maybe I should work harder... but I'm happy, lead to simpler life is my motto...

Money is a tool that keep us going. Happiness is a bonus to support us! Caring gives a plus point to live to the fullest!

Grandpa's house is very simple. NO Astro - he said local tv programmes are sufficient, NO air-cond, NO water heater, maybe he feels unsecure with the electricity stuff :)

He is a great person who has good charisma, I respect his patience and calmness attitude. I never see him raise his temper.
He was admitted to the hospital last year for a laser surgery. This year, he was admitted due to food poisoning and he felt down as he had no energy to walk properly. When I visit him in the hospital, I'll check his feet, are they cold, I'll see if he wants to drink a hot drink and see if he feels pain ? Grandpa, pls take good care of yourself. At his age (89 this year), he is very tough, and consider strong.

Everytime I go to visit him, I'll make sure I talk to him a lot. I know he is lonely sometimes, everyone is busy working. But he never nags or mumble. He is the type of person who talks about good things. He is happy with his grandchildren's achievements.

His hobby is reading I think! He cuts out lots of newspaper articles for reference and he shares a lot of stories with me. I find that he is very informative and sincere. Maybe he was used to knowledge sharing environment when he was teaching in school last time.

Grandpa, it's a blessing to have you around us, I love you!

BEGGING FOR LIVING...

Beggars beggar beggars...

You see them at pasar pagi, pasar malam, under the bridge, even at the overhead bridge...
Some are blind, some are playing instruments, some are handicapped, some are suffering from cancer, some are just old folks who looks old, some are women with 2 children hoping for sympathy, some are foreigners, some are children, some are selling tissues or chewing gums, some are carrying babies, some are singing, even some are pushing a speaker while singing karaoke.... just too many beggars...

The worse beggar I've ever seen was the one being burnt, his skin was so red, his eyes were almost popping out, and he had no expression. Of coz, all beggars look not as good as normal people, and they need attention.

I'm sure you have read or heard that newspapers wrote about the 'gang' who pick and send beggars to pasar malam to get money from the public. Many years back, I was thinking, stop giving them money, so the 'gang' will dissappear by its own. But then, my mom said one thing to me, if we stop giving money to them, the 'gang' will dissappear and no one will take care of the beggars, that's even worse, where else can they be? At least, if we can give some money to them, the 'gang' will take care of their meals and provide a shelter for them to stay.

I still remember many years back, lots of children were dissappeared, and some were found in Thailand as beggars and their body parts were being removed so the public will sympathise them more. Imagine the kids' eyes were being digged out, hands were being chopped - so sad... why human do this? For money? When they children were small, they can just sit and beg, but when they grew older, what will happen... is money so important?

There is one handicapped guy who sits at Sg. Wang, who sells tissues, I used to buy tissues from him, it's RM 3 per pack of 9's. Doesn't matter, I don't treat him as a beggar, he is just trying to earn a living. Buying from him, I get a product, and best part, he knows 'pulse reading', he puts his finger on our wrist, and see if our pulse reading is normal. I still remembered he said that I didn't have enough sleep hahahaha, which was true! I always wanted to pay him RM 5, but he insisted to give me change of RM 2...

There is another handicapped malay man, who sits along Bandaraya Station Star LRT bridge towards Sogo, he sells tissues too! Whenever I see him, I'll buy tissues too! His smiling face, and friendly attitude is really cool...

When I was little, I was staying at Taman Lensen, Cheras. Monday will be pasar malam, so cool. Mom used to bring me to jalan-jalan, and she used to give me 20sen to give to beggars. Last time 20sen was a lot. Now the market rate is RM1 hahahahaha! Just don't dare to put small change into the beggars' bowl.

More than 10 years ago, at Jalan Alor, you'll see women beggars, carrying a small baby with another small kid, asking for money from table to table. Not many giving, for the kids, I will still give. When I think back, how are the kids now? What's their mother next strategy, the kids are growing up...

There were also a few kids at Jalan Alor, age around 8-10 years old, foreigner I think, selling tissues and chewing gums. When they approached you, when you've decided to buy 2 packs, they will say, "I only have 5 packs left, can you take all?" Normally, we will buy all, hoping they can go home early to sleep, but imagine, the mother or father who hides behind the dark lane, was giving these children more tissues or chewing gums to sell later. How teribble!

There was an article in the papers that I read, the children were being interviewed. They said, in one day, they could earn upto RM 50 - 100, therefore, some had no intention to go to school, as they were foreigner and can't study here. Also, with this income, they are making good life. Wow! What happened to their parents? Do they want their children to have such thinking that money is everything? They can sell tissues and chewing gum when they are still a kid, but when they grow up, what do they sell? Drugs? Prostitution?

Another beggar was at Sunday pasar malam (a few years back), the woman was with 2 children, both are boys, I felt so sad to see them. I have 2 kids too, my heart was about to break when I see them. I will buy french fries, milo drink for them. I also gave some clothes and new milk bottle for the baby, I hope that the boys are happy. Wondering how are they now?

Out of a sudden, my brain is not working. Just now I had a lot to write about beggars, alamak! Now blank, too sleepie I think!

Good nite...
